Having lived in several countries and experienced the flavours and traditions of the world, Zafar has developed a deep appreciation for food, spices, recipes, and the memories they create. His passion for bringing people together began at just eight years old, when he started organizing events for family and friends, a passion that has stayed with him throughout his life.

Today, Zafar brings that same instinct for creating memorable experiences into his work, combined with a strong background in business development and years of helping entrepreneurs start, develop, and grow restaurants and catering businesses. His ability to connect people, envision possibilities, and solve challenges allows him to bring together the right ingredients, both in business and hospitality, to create experiences worthy of an ovation.

For Damir Tas, cooking is a family tradition, a lifelong passion, and a way of bringing people together. The son of a chef who owned successful restaurants along the Adriatic coast, Damir grew up surrounded by restaurant kitchens and the people who shaped his love for the culinary arts. After coming to Canada in his youth, he found inspiration in his grandmother’s kitchen, where preparing family meals strengthened his desire to become a chef.

Today, Damir is the Owner, Operator and Head Chef of Gušt Restaurant Inc., a successful restaurant in Alliston, where he continues to bring together his culinary experience, heritage, and passion for honest, memorable food. Having also spent years creating food and experiences through catering, Damir is excited to expand this side of his culinary journey and share his cooking with a wider audience, creating memorable experiences for guests wherever the occasion takes them.
